This interface concept uses bright color, playful forms, and oversized typography to intentionally create the visual appeal associated with sweets and snack advertising. By pairing an enticing image with a cautionary message, the design creates tension between desire and restraint. The strong contrast, energetic composition, and clear visual hierarchy effectively support the message while demonstrating an understanding of contemporary digital interface design.

404 Webpage Animation

Create a list of topics and mistakes, goofs, missteps, and error about those topics. Select one to develop a text and image interplay that communicates an error in the context of a webpage. Then design the motion for when the webpage loads.

Macbeth Poster

Learn the rhetorical figures as possibilities for communicating messages. Read Macbeth and watch three different movie productions of the story. Work in teams to understand the meanings of the rhetorical figures and develop ideas about possible images to use for the design. Design a poster that communicates some major aspect of the story.

Typographic Oath Poster

Place your left hand on The Elements of Typographic Style, raise your right hand and swear to the Typographic Oath. Then explore the rules and break the rules of typography. Let’s play with type.

Motion Music Poster

If it’s too loud, you’re too old. That statement has no relevance in this project. Design an environmental motion poster without sound that communicates a genre of music while delivering information about a music event. 🤘

This symbol system explores biological variation through the recombination of insect anatomy. Wings, legs, antennae, and body components produce numerous believable creatures while maintaining visual consistency. The project demonstrates a strong understanding of modular design and uses repetition and variation to create a compelling collection of forms.
