Biography
Chris St.Cyr

I build learning systems that move people from not knowing how to think like a designer to making real decisions with confidence and intention. Over 20 years of work spanning curriculum architecture, user experience design, and AI integration, I've developed frameworks that connect design education to real-world practice. I'm now bringing that work into product education.
I've taught across seven institutions including Bridgewater State University, Quinnipiac University, The College of Saint Rose, and Ringling College of Art and Design, leading courses in graphic design, UX, web design, and brand systems. In parallel, I've served as a consultant and creative director at 2communiqué, a design studio focused on education and nonprofit clients, for over twenty years. My role spans design critique, business operations, and hands-on creative direction for branding and digital projects as needed.
Through my podcast Design Futures and ongoing research into design education, I examine how designers transition from school into professional practice, using those insights to build more adaptive, relevant learning experiences.

Philosophy
Design is not only a method of making — it’s a framework for thinking.
Learning works the same way design does, through inquiry, iteration, and progressive complexity. My work builds experiences that move from foundational principles into interaction, UX, and communication systems, always connecting learning directly to professional practice.
As AI reshapes creative work, I emphasize responsible integration grounded in transparency and human judgment. I design environments where people learn to think critically and adapt.
