The students focus their creative talents on writing to create a written language system for this subversive consumer culture design project. Students research quantitative data of various food-related topics to begin to understand the connection between food and other aspects of our lives. The statistics provide an overview and point of departure for developing language that communicates a specific perspective of the food-related topic. A variety of writing prompts are explored to assist the development of the written language that is used to create titles, subtitles, and tag-lines. A minimal visual language is explored to support the written language.
